[Honestly is there a way to deal, isn't the solution to actually be sad until I can shove it aside and forget I had a feeling.
and this is as good a way to do that as any.
When there is a brief break in the kiss he leans more weight on Curtain's knee to pull himself forward, until he's fully in Curtain's lap. And he does not immediately resume the kiss either. Instead staring directly into Curtain's eyes eyes, seeming thoughtful and for once not abashed.]
[NO THAT IS NOT THE SOLUTION, but the solution is not available at the moment so. so. this is what we do.
he's happy to have Jae on his lap and is more ready to resume the kiss, hands on his waist, but then, that's not happening...? and he's being stared at, instead?
now he just feels incredibly self-aware and embarrassed. looks away.]
[returns the kiss, and it is less quick as a result, his arms rest on Curtain's shoulders and he seems, for whatever reason, a lot more relaxed than last time they were in this position. Or even the last time they kissed. He deepens it himself. And there's absolutely some inarticulate feeling there, a warm weight that Jae probably can't explain in any form but at least it seems most accessible in a moment like this.
[it's funny how what should be very unsettling under normal circumstances, now feels familiar and... in a way, intimate, but maybe that's just further proof of how he really is comfortable with Jae's condition as a Constellation, now. of course, the stories are part of this too, so there's nothing strange about that whispering.
and while he's not quite sure what brought this about, he also can't be bothered to try and make sense of it. instead, he also relaxes and focuses all of his attention on Jae, on the kiss, and all the things that are wordlessly being conveyed, letting this moment stretch for as long as Jae wants it to.]
[It's really just a few breathes, a few long breathes maybe. When he pulls back enough to lick his own lips there is finally a flush there, though whether or not it's from embarrassment is hard to say.
He sits up a bit more, opens his mouth once or twice apparently intending to say something, and eventually does get it out. Despite his apparent slight fluster he is once again looking straight at Curtain]
Curtain. ...Appointment with Death under a Curtain.. I have a proposal.
Is this a pop quiz, now? I know how it worked back at the palace. There's no coins here, so I assume that doesn't apply? But... I would get to borrow your stigma, yes?
It's not really something so cheap. First of all, my stigma aren't that useful most of the time. Well, there is one I would like you to have for emergencies. But it's more... Personal? Than that. It irrevocably ties me to your story. It means I can always find you. If you're in duress I'll know. If necessary I could incarnate directly into your body... I wouldn't do that unless needed though, it can be quite painful. Um and yes, of course, I could lend you my power more easily...

... Sorry, I. Didn't mean to be pushy.
Re: [Evening, Day 5]
[tilts his head a bit and watches that blush rise. cute.]
...has Appointment---
[he pauses and reconsiders his words]
--Are you really completely okay with me being a constellation now?
Re: [Evening, Day 5]
still blushing, but not feeling as awkward now]
... I thought that much was obvious.
Re: [Evening, Day 5]
[reaches out to gently pull Curtain's face back toward him]
Re: [Evening, Day 5]
Yeah.
[leans in for a quick kiss]
I'm fine with it.
Re: [Evening, Day 5]
There's also a faint whispering of a story.]

Re: [Evening, Day 5]
... Yes?
Re: [Evening, Day 5]
...I want to sponsor you.
Re: [Evening, Day 5]
What?
Re: [Evening, Day 5]
...Make you my incarnation...?
Re: [Evening, Day 5]
[a beat]
... Why? Can you even do that here?
[just. genuinely puzzled]
Re: [Evening, Day 5]
Re: [Evening, Day 5]
Okay?
Okay.
[BUT WHY THO???]
Re: [Evening, Day 5]
Okay like yes...?
Re: [Evening, Day 5]
Yes. Okay as in yes.
