He might not want a second opinion, but such decisions do need council.

Beyond that, there is benefit in hearing multiple perspectives.

Did he ever ask for your opinion on matters?

You know that I meant on the bigger things. On your sorcerer's society.

You never told him your plan before you enacted it, did you?

Do you regret it?

You really are sentimental. And I mean this very fondly.

No. I don't.

I will give you the same advice I gave him. Simply tell him how you feel. About him. About his plans. About whatever you wish.

You have a chance that most people do not get.

Does not the emptiness and the unspoken words not leave a curse of its own?

[He shakes his head.]

To leave no regrets. No words unspoken. For both of you.

Do you really believe he can be content if you live with regrets? With words left unspoken?

[He sighs.]

Think about it. I'm trying to push him to open up for his benefit. To consider what it means to live beyond the title of his birth.

At the very least impart to him his value as a person that does not pertain to his status as the strongest sorcerer. I imagine it is more than just his vaulted strength that you care for.

Right person or not, I am simply here to sow the seed of possibility. To offer what wisdom I have being the half of a dear friendship that survived.

And I do appreciate taking the time to listen. Do let me know if the gift I gave earlier was not enough compensation for your time.

To not let pride, duty or even fear prevent you from saying what you desire to those you love. Time is fleeting even for nigh immortals. The chance will not always be there.
