Human beings with heightened senses. They have the ability to perceive and manipulate cursed energy, and make use of it to exorcise cursed spirits.

Non sorcerers are unable to keep cursed energy within their bodies, that's how cursed spirits are born.

If non sorcerers disappear, or if they evolve to the point where they can control their output like sorcerers do, then cursed spirits would no longer be a threat to society.
