Mmm... Mother thought it would be good for me, and I suspect she thought I would never have married without it. I didn't have very strong feelings, at the time, though I knew she would take great care to match me. It was pure luck, I think, that she was acquainted with your family.

I don't think my parents tried to match me, so yes, I definitely buy the 'pure luck' thing.
